Hotel Policies
The Royal Street Inn & Bar is a New Orleans Bed & Beverage. Yes, Beverage. We don’t feed you but we do place drink tokens for the bar downstairs on your pillow. We are located in the heart of the historic Marigny Triangle at 1431 Royal Street. One block outside of the French Quarter and one block from Frenchmen Street, the premier live music area in New Orleans.
Arrival / Departure
Guests check-in with the bartender at the R Bar downstairs from the Inn. The R Bar serves as your front desk, lobby, and bar all in one. Check-In begins at 3pm but when possible we do offer early check-in free of charge. If you are arriving earlier than 3pm please contact us to arrange bag storage or early check-in. Check out is noon on the day of your departure.
Getting Around + Parking
We recommend using a ride-sharing service (Lyft or Uber) for getting to/from the airport and for getting around town. Walking or bike rental is also a great option for exploring New Orleans particularly the nearby French Quarter, Marigny, Bywater, Treme and Warehouse Districts. If you chose to drive to the Royal Street Inn please note that there is only street parking available. The street parking immediately around the Inn is limited to 2 hours unless you display a residential parking permit. We have a limited number of parking permits available to our guests for rental. If you are interested in renting a parking pass please email prior to arrival or ask the bartenders at check-in. There is also free non-permitted street parking and a pay lot three blocks away from the Inn.
Terms and Conditions
Valid credit card required to make reservations. Cardholding guests are responsible for payment of the full room charge including taxes as well as any and all damages that occur during the stay. Guests must be 21 years of age to place a reservation and stay at the Royal Street Inn & Bar.
Payment Policy
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total reservation amount is charged upon booking. The remaining 50% of the reservation total is charged the day of arrival. A valid Credit Card must be on file to cover all in-room purchases and incidental fees.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation will result in the guest forgoing their deposit. Any cancellations made less than 7 days prior to check in date will result in the rest of the reservation total being charged to credit card supplied during booking.
Pet Policy
The Royal Street Inn is not pet friendly.
However, under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we accept service animals defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.
We do not allow emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, and therefore do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
